Havent' seem any big, bright 18k in the scoop for while--I didn't want to move--savour the moment--might not come again for a while. .750, 20.5 grams. I hunt more for sets of conditions than targets. Where I see sand falling out, deep sections close to shore, and silt gathered--indicating low ground--I keep going in to moniter the changes--especially at the outside edge of the trench.

Hummina, Hummina, Hummina! :surprised:

Out here on the Big Lake, early in the morning, a guy can see where the silt/algae settles out in the deeper depressions off shore...usually, if a guy goes downwind/current from where the kiteboarders launch and play, theres generally a few nice sunglasses down in there after a big weekend...also a good chance for paper dollars, dead fish, trash, and stuff like that, not to mention its the "deepest water the closest to shore"..

Like you said though, a fellow really has to get to know a location well based upon the changes to hit the key spots when they open, and that means frequently working a place....Man, thats a beauty chain there! I'm short bigtime this year...hope to make it up weather dependent in Jul Aug and Sept...I will keep on hunting right through ...muttering "deepest water, closest to shore" over and over and over..!:please:
