got a silly question

It does on cell phones signals

Not if you got a good set of headphones on.

If it blows those away, you shouldn't be outside

anyway.

HH,

Cassiekarimom:
The guys are lying to you, it has happened to me.

When those dog gone pink elephants get up in the trees by the hundreds and start shaking the trees. It is such a horrible wind not a signal can get through from the target to the coil. I certainly hope this never happens to you. If it does happen to you, like me you will have a great story to tell your little (about 4 yrs old no older) great grand children for hours.. Jer

Thanks, when I asked I ment like how if it is a windy day it is hard to hear people talking to you cause the sound waves from your voice get carried away, I just wasn't sure if a strong wind could go between your detector and the ground and carry away the sound.

Detecting in the wind is fine unless you have allergies and live in or near sacramento Ca. they say if you didnt have em when you moved here give it a year and you will be an allergy suffer to. i try to avoid windy days...

Cassiekarimom it is an electronic signal. The sound is made in the detector. Thanks for reading...Jer

Cassiekarimom we are all stumbling through life. Some seem to be a little better at it then others. But we are all stumbling and not sure what to do next. So don't be so hard on yourself. All life requires is that you breathe. So breathe and relax it will work out. Thanks for reading... Jer

No sir. You might have to turn up the volumn on your headset though.
I find that when its windy it's hard for me to hear the signal in the headset.
If you don't have volumn control on your headset you might want to find an
inexpensive set.
Good Luck.
RR:crazy:

The signal itself will never blow away. It is an electrically generated signal. Different from your voice which is a mechanical signal. (kinda like striking a garbage can), it's mechanical vibrations. You hearing the signal from your machine is much harder in windy conditions, as others have said. Headphones will greatly improve what you hear from your machine, but greatly limit what you hear around you. Great around traffic, not so good in bear country, if you get my drift. HH
