Got a Sierra GOLD MAX coil

New member
I got a Gold Max coil for my GMT today and I plan on taking out tomorrow to hunt for meteorites here in AZ. anyone got any tips for this coil or is it like the stock coil only bigger...
I will post after I hunt tomorrow nd let folks know how I did.

People I know who have the same equipment say that the coverage is better and their a little deeper. Let us know what you think - good luck.

The Sierra Gold Max is a Stretched FOURTEEN INCH CONCENTRIC and it reaches out significantly on small gold down to about 2 grain deeper than the standard 6x10 Wide Scan.

You may encounter some more Hot Rock Hits, but that depends on the ground conditions.

Bottom line, you'll love the loop, just a bit heavier. Start curling the weights when you watch TV in preparation.

Sorry I took so long to reply, I have been hunting.
Well the new coil is sensitive, I have to turn down the gain and it is a little heavier to swing.
It seems to find deeper andjust as small of junk as I did with the stock coil. Keep in mind I have only used it in an area looking for meteorites and there are also bullets there, found lots of them.
I would not run out and buy one if I just got a GMT, but if ya find a great deal on one then it would be nice to have, now I will look for a 4X6 nugget shooter for hunting small stuff.
