Got a Rosie tonight...

A few clad and a wheatie at the same place I've been hitting lately and a '52 Rosie. All of the silver I've hit there has been in the same general area and the soil is very different compared to the areas I was picking up the 60's / 70's memorials at around the same depth. The dirt looks different too... much darker and looser. Interesting. I have tomorrow off and it's my last shot at hitting the place I picked up my first 3 Mercs.

The beaches open up this weekend to swimming, so Sunday and Monday look like good days to hit the beach!!! Can't wait!

Here's the Rosie:

looks like maybe we will start calling you Silver Joe! :) Congrats!

sounds like it might have been hauled in - different than the rest. maybe old coins also ? Good digs, good luck next week. Steve in so az

Thanks Steve... I'll have to mark where the "good" dirt begins and ends and see just how big it is.

 Highly unlikely.

You would have been proud of me on this dime find though Sensei. :) Just a hint of that "flutey" sound and bouncing all over the place. Dug a deep plug and couldn't hear it at all with the X-1 until I dug down a bit more. Very cool.

it is in the Southwest Michigan Seek & Search club newsletter (May 2006) http://www.swmss.org/newsletters/may/may.htm under Lost Treasure
about the couple who bought detectors. Kinda long and a little 'rambly' but a great story and amazing finds.

Congrats on the finds Joe.

learning fast grasshopper! :) Very cool! :)
