Got a ring yesterday

This ring came in at 10 on the VDI. I dig most signals 4 or above, but I admit I pass some up, especially if I had already found pieces of an aluminum can in the area. Things like this make me wonder what I have passed up already.

While I'm pretty sure this thing is not real, it is stamped 14k, and had a low VDI for a pretty hefty (2.8 gram) target. Even if it is a phoney, it got my attention!

I have got other rings at a lower VDI, but this is the first with a stone that size.

Nice find, i don't know you think it isn't real. I can't tell it's size but that's not a bad VDI for a womans ring. Make sure you let us know if it is real. Rob

Nice ring Scott. If it is a real diamond its going to be a really nice ring. HH Dennis in Idaho

Awesome ring and hopefully it's the real McCoy.......let us know what you find out. Thanks for sharing. HH to all, Nancy

VERY nice. Even the diamond ought to be worth something. It IS a diamond isn't it?
I found a handful of clad and a small silver ring yesterday.
Great Find!!!!!!! Hope you find more.

I posted it orignially at Garrett since I found the stuff with the Ace. Since this is MXT forum I
decided to leave it be. BUT since you want to see the stuff...all very ordinary and not too exciting, here is is....along with a few cents and something that looks like a battery I found today.

Its still nice that you posted your finds Robert. Keep the posts coming. Now I want to find a ring like Scotts. It would sure make the wife happy. HH Dennis in Idaho

Genuine cubic zirconia. Retail for a ring like this in a high price store is $250 - $400. I take that to mean it's worth about fifty bucks.

To put it in perspective, $50 is about half a years worth of clad to me. Not a bad find at all.

I've been thinking about turning in all my silver and gold stuff, and getting an old $5 gold piece.

Hey, it's better than nothing. I would do some research before turning your silver and gold in. I hear there's a place called Midwestern Finery's (spelling??) that has been mentioned on the forums here and there. We've never utilized them, but know of others that have on here. They give you the best deal. DON"T go to any pawn shop, they really cheat the poor guy. Keep up the good detecting and enjoy!!!! HH to all, Nancy
