Earl's been fixing the clock in the meeting house / church which went out of control and bent and twisted snapped off brass gears and made some of the gears go egg shape from the 550 pound weight went out of control. The last few people to be put in charge of winding the clock didn't know how to maintain the clock so the parts don't wear down. This meeting house was build in 1755 and has a Paul Revere bell in it.Paul died just a few days before it was to be casted and is the first bell his son poured without his dad.I took a lot of photos up there and can show you how the clock was made[all by the blacksmith and farmer from town].It takes two hand and a strong back to turn the gears and winded up the 550 pounds back up.I prayed Earl got it fixed right and the brake pin went in place to stop the weight from falling as I turned up the weight.Going to take me a day or two to name and file the photos but if you want to see it let me know and I'll walk you back in time and show you the bell and the hand made clock parts.I well show you the way the church was built and the burnt wood up there from the fire. They run out of water putting out the fire and most of the fire was put out with milk from the farm across the street known as the great milk fire.Want to see it??
