Got a rain/dust cover question.........I know the detector is protected but what about your Headphones when it's Raining will/will not they go bad....

The Tesoro rain cover is for dirt and light moisture protection only, with some bump protection in the woods.Without a waterproof detector like a tigershark i would stop hunting in the rain and bag and cover the detector. So i would also bag the phones not unless for sure they are totally waterproof.Without total waterproof equip get it out of the rain!.

That's a pretty good bit of advice.* If its raining so hard that you need to worry about it, you should probably get under cover.
If you still insist on staying out in a downpour, like the proverbial dog with no sense, then double bag everything that has wires attached to it, except the detectors coil.

* Ditto for hunting at night - if its too dark to see what you are doing, maybe even putting yourself at risk for stumbling around, then it's okay to go on home for supper.

I hunt in light showers with a cover on the detectors and nothing additional on the headset. When it rains enough so water starts dripping off my face, I'll take a jacket or shirt off to cover the detector and headset and head to a dry place with them.

I have kept hunting in steady rain with a CZ6a that is water resistant using standard headphones and with the waterproof CZ20 and Sand Shark.

Have not had a failure of detector or headphones yet. Keep rain drops out of the speaker opening, from running down the shaft and into the detector box and from inside the ear cups of the headset and you should be OK.
