Now I need to know any tips for taking close ups of coins and other finds.
This is my 4th Digital camera trying to take good close ups. My daughter that got this one for me said she was told it will do it.
I see where there is some filters for this camera for close up shots on E Bay, wonder it they would help??
Thanks
Rick

take your coin pics outside in the late evening so that the sun is low and the light kinda skips across the surface of the coin producing good detail and relief of the coin.
It's kinda trial and error at first but work at it, it does work.

I am not good yet, but learning and thought this one wasnt too bad. I used a JPG optimiser to make the file smaller so it would not take to long to load.
This is a coin my wife found this past summer and dont know for sure what it is, but like the $100 marked on it. It is a little bigger than a quarter and twice as thick.
Anyone know what it is??
Thanks
Rick

I feel a lot of this will be trial and error for a while. I used to try to get as close to a coin as I could for a good picture, but found out it wouldnt focus right. Now I find out you dont have to get that close and use a photo program to enlarge it and the focus is fine.
Thanks again Rick for the info on outside pictures of coins.
