Was detecting about waist deep off Indian rocks beach FL just going slow minding my own buisness when something bumped the back of my leg, I turn around and all i see is this huge black shadow in the water. well im about to poop my pants when all of a sudden i just become very calm (very strange feeling) as i start to examine this shadow I realize it is just chilling in one spot not moving so im like well if isnt moving im not moving either. turned out to be a very large manatee once i could make out the shape i relaxed and reached out and started petting it, turned out to be one of the coolest experiences i have ever had. Man i wish i had a camera with me. He was very dark almost black which is strange usually they are grey and he must have been lost or traveling somewhere
