I went to several different spots,...getting really good at finding shotgun shells, pulltabs and lures. :rofl: This ring hit a solid 63 and loud double beep in waste deep water and ankle deep mud..same type of signal a high base shotgun shell gives off, except the double beep. The St Christophers medal is sterling, and hit solid Q signal, its pretty old too...I was up at 4 and out the door after checking the Forums for some inspiration. I stopped at one last little old swimming area I'd never been to, at noon I got the ring, 14k 6.3gr. First gold for this year! Hope you all got out and had some fun!

Those are some great finds. 14K gold is still on my wish list, but I'll take anything the good Lord blesses me to find. HH.

Thanks for the kind replies friends, Hey, Fongu, I was thinking of you yesterday, the boats were trying to sink me with their wakes! Bob, the crappy pics are due to this cell phone camera..its a really old phone, so old its made out of wood! maybe time to upgrade...I'm getting a late start today, took Missus Mud out dancing last night, now I'll go dance around in a few totlots and swimming holes.

Mud, sometimes they seem to speed up on purpose. When I'm just in my clothes and under armor, it doesn't matter, but it's wet with the waders. Maybe they're jealous because my dirt fishing is more productive than theirs. HH.
