got my first ever pocket spill with multiple silvers today, included was a quarter, 3 silver dimes, 2 wheats, and 2 nickels. One of the nickels was a 1964 so it had to be dropped at least by that time. Made me happy to get 4 silvers in one hole

Good job! Sweeeet find! I, too, am curious about the signal.

Sweet, Congrats on your first SPS

What kind of signal did you get when you found that spill?
well at first I got a 44 and I almost passed it by, because just less than a foot away I had two deep iffy singals that registered as 44, and they both were deep iron, I almost said to myself, don't dig it, it is gonna be iron again. So I walked around it, and from every direction it said 42-44.

First coin I saw in the hole was a wheat, and I thought why in the world did that register as 42-44? then I ran the coil over the pile of dirt, and there was 2 dimes in there, then back over the hole and it kept signing out, as I pulled out the quarter, a third dime, 2 nickles and the last wheat

well depends how slow I am swinging, and if there are multiple targets or a single target

When I used the Sov. I had a little trouble telling dimes from quarters..but others could hear the difference.

Nice finds...How deep were they? I found one pocket spill last year 5 quarters two dimes and a nickle but they were all modern clad about 2" deep.

Although Minelab referred to it as "99 tone" in much of the documentation, you'll find it is actually 28 tones, or one tone per notch segment. And the difference between those tones is easily recognizable. Much like the notes on a musical scale. HH Randy
