Got a new coil, well a new to me coil...

It's a Detech 5" coil. It measures exactly 5" in diameter. Last night I air tested it and that little sucker was picking up an indian cent at 8" (7" was a solid, hard hit). Then I tested my size 11 gold wedding band and it hit hard at 8" and iffy above 9"! I was surprised the little coil would do that.
Tomorrow I am giving this coil a real test. I'm going to a spot I've been hammering the last couple of weeks and there are literally no more non ferrous signals to hear with my X-8 coil OR with my Tek G2 stock coil and 5 inch coil. If this coil can find 4 or 5 more hits on that spot I will be AMAZED. So we will see. It's where I found the 1837 dime and the 1840's eagle R button last week among other items. Stay tuned...

Hi NealNoIN, I would be interested in ow you make out because I always use the minelab standard small coil on my Exp 2 in trashy areas. I like it for that but always wondered if I should get one that you have.
