Ok before you answer the question below read my story carefully so you know the situation!
I was detecting today with my AT Pro and got a very deep signal. I'm at a baseball field in Iowa. I am on regular mowed type turf. I thought great it might be some silver. I dig and dig till I find it it down at 10 inches. It had the usual black looking look to it like most of the clad I find here. I rub the dirt off of it and to my surprise it is a 2010 dime. Since the coin is a year old I know no dirt work or any dirt has been hauled into this spot within the last few years. I have a therory of my own how this could of happened but I was wonder what other ideas you might have. Remember it is normal type soil with normal type sod grass.
Question: How can a 2010 dime get to 10 inches deep in regular dirt with grass on it so quick?
