Got a modded cibola

And I've been messing around in my yard,no real world results yet.But I have never had much luck with concentric coils in my soil,at least in my test garden anyway.I can get a soft hit on a 6 inch merc,and a threshold change on the 8 inch merc...I know that even the at pro 5x8 hits the 8 inch hard,so I'm thinking I might need to invest in a dd coil..I mostly hunt old fields for coins,and jewelry if it's there..and I also hunt yards,and gonna start on parks also.
I like the beep and dig,I started a long time ago with a bounty hunter beep and dig,and had a lot of fun.So my question is what should I get,maybe the new 8x11 rsd? I'm not at all familiar with Tesoro's yet but I'm willing to learn.Just looking for a honest answer on a bigger dd coil.And I've read about the 5.75 concentric but I'll probably end up with the widescan cause it's a dd coil.I live in Pennsylvania,and I'm thinking concentric don't do as well as dd,just my opinion.

Yes, the 8x11 would be good. Think it should be doing better on that silver dime though with the 8x9 though. But, I'm no expert or claim to be one either on here. lol

Not too familiar with the newer Tesoro models, but may share similar ground conditions. And the only widescan I have is with the original Lobo, works good for my area. Hopefully others with knowledge will chime in, I'd be interested as well.

You mentioned purchasing a modded Cibola, Is that with manual GB? I ask because recently purchased a Cibola myself, may add a GB have read many positive reports on the Cibola.

Yes it has a modded ground balance on the cibola.Im not real good at gb with it though,and may try to swap it for a regular Cibola.Its a good machine though,and I like it so far ,a lot of fun in these Tesoro machines.

I used do well with "Tesoro's" in Pennsylvania and sold a few of them to other Club members.
Often got 11" on dimes in cinder type soil with the solid 8" DD"

Ground balancing isn't very hard. Watch some videos on the vaquero and ground balancing and you'll understand the audio.
I wouldn't drop or sell that cibola yet....
