I've been very badly ill since last weekend, and I dont get sick hardly ever...couldnt even read or reply to the posts here...yesterday the wind was out of the east and I just couldnt stand it! I knew all the shore iceburgs would be gone and I had to get into that water! All my buddies have been out hunting! So I thought I'd make an attempt to take the hunt in small bites to see just how far I might get...telling myself if I hit some portion where it was just too much I'd stop and go home...

I crawled out to the car, drove down to the beach, got into my waders, walked down and on in...finally hit a spot on the down stream side of a beach where all the finds seemed to have classified from a longshore rip or something...got this stuff and dragged myself back to the car...it felt like a 6hr hunt, but I was only there for 1hr....All the iceburgs were gone..that photo from the 2nd?...all that ice was gone and the Lake was clear and flat..wish I could have made a longer hunt out of it....I know theres gold in here, and I know the Pro will find it...those nickels and tabs told me I was really in some good dirt, I just could not physically pull it off...anyway, it was actually a nice little hunt considering, probably did me some good, I dont know, still sick as a dog today, but at least I have something to show for it!..

Sorry you've been ill, but glad you were able to get out for a 1 hour hunt. It sure helps mind, body and soul to get out if just for 15 minutes. Glad you were rewarded with some silver and clad for your effort. GL & HH.

I always liked days at the "Great Lakes" when the water is wild, the clouds are grey and the winds bite a little. I will be hopefully hitting Lake Huron for several hunts in July. Keep up the great posts Mud!
