Got up early this morning and checked the weather. Another "hot one" so I packed up my gear and spent 6 hours in the water staying cool. I like using my sand sifter, as I save a lot of precious time letting the sifter do the work of getting the target instead of shaking the water scoop.

Not a bad day. Found an old water logged cell phone, some loot some bling and a ring.

Below is a closeup of the best finds......

I really enjoy water hunting. I have spent considerably amount of time in Lake Michigan with not a lot of great success. I realized in-land lakes are better because objects don't get moved with waves like the big lakes.

True.....but try hunting after a large windy storm and hunt the areas in the water showing a lot of stones in the cuts or rifts.

I only hunt lakes here in VIRGINA with GREAT SUSSES. GOLD AND MORE GOLD, kid you not my friends.
This time of year I detect 15-25 hours a week and more. Beach hunting only.

Thanks John, I will remember that. I haven't gotten out to Grand Haven yet this year, too busy. If I remember from past conversations you are in the general area. I just purchased the amphibian water headphones and need to try them out. I like the idea of volume control, because the blue headphones for the AT PRO are so loud.
