You're gonna want a 5 inch coil to go with it. Much lighter, better seperation, and amazingly deep. I use a 5 inch about 70% of the time.

Oft time I will hunt a site with the 5 inch, then go back over it with the 8 inch too check for deep targets, and usually don't find much more.

yeah the gentleman i'm getting it form has over 50 years of detecting experience and he was telling me that this will go deeper than his tesoro tejon and claims it's very underated says he's actually found nickols on end at 7" signal was easily heard said he bought it new last june and said he maybe used 5 times it's showroom!

Drop the disc down low and be ready to dig TINY stuff deep! One of the best gold jewelry machines I have ever used.

The 1266 and doing away with dual discrimination and ruining the ergonomics and weighting by putting box on top was a mistake but indeed a deep unit once you get used to the sounds...Why they try to fix what ain't broke is beyond me...

well what really atracted to me was that it runs on 8.2 khz and my tesoro's run at 10 and 14 khz i'm hoping that this will be the right combo of things because i've found more coins using 10khz than any other if there's anyone else out there that has idea's or suggestions on how to run this machine i'm all ears for sure and thanks for everybody's input!

Sen. Max for the widest scan, scrubbing the coil slow, overlapping the coil 50%, picking up coins left and right and deep ones, the beach club I
