Got a few today

Went hunting with Mike today, We hunted from 9:00 till about 4:30. I was having a bad day up until about 3:30 with only 1 Bucky ball being found. The rest was found in the last hour of detecting. I got into a small camp area and dug more camp lead than I've dug in a while. I wondered why they left all this lead in a fire pit, after digging all of the melted lead in the picture out of one hole. My next find told me why they probably left in a hurry, and artillery fuse within 10 foot of the fire pit. I then dug the bullets about 15 or 20 feet away. Got a big brass whatzit, any ideas? and some round balls. I'll have to hit that area a little better, Mike dug a shenkyl fuse out of there 2 weeks ago. here's today's finds and the Indian head from last week. Hope y'all had a great thanksgiving......Flipper out

to my pinched sciatic nerve and 3 months of chiropractic treatments to try and get my back and right leg back to where I can do things again. I haven't got to hunt but one time with Jason since the last time you and I had hunted. I need a relic fix bad but I will have to get by until I am able to walk and dig without all the pain. Good luck on your future digs an HH!

It was up there in the woods where I found the 3 minies on top of the ground. The fuse wasn't but about an inch deep, I almost passed it over for a can as my detector hit overload. I gotta quit doing that, it could have cost me this time. You get healed up and we'll do some more hunting. I have a new place off 394 thats on the back end of the hill near where exide drive comes in. I did a primilary hunt last week in the snow and walked the land with the caretaker to learn the boundry lines. I didn't find anything civil war related but It may be worth a few trips to see for sure. I think it may be too far back from Hamilton hill for them to be there but ya never know.... Take care and don't push it too hard for a while.....Flipper out
