Got a De Leon on the way need to speed up the learning curve

Well I will say congrats on the new DeLeon! I have not found any rings as yet with mine but it is a very easy unit to learn. As to the gold it can fall anywhere from foil to pull tab. I run mine a bit below the Nickle. I may be missing some but that is just me. If the Graph and the ID# lock it is a good sign to dig. Silver will hit the #95 same as quarter and dime and penny (pre 82). Even if the graph is jumpy but you are getting a nice repatable tone I would dig. Good luck to you, Beale.

that #is 41 and thats a size 10 or 11 14k gold ring locks on hard and will show nickel, if the numbers are from 38 to 44 dig! and showwing nickel!

I've found mine does as well or better with the sensitivity set below max. Somewhere in the 6 to 8 range. If you get a signal that bounces between coin denominations with a tab reading or two, DIG. Many times it will be a coin spill or several denominations pretty close together.

Small 9k gold, around 8 to 11, 17-18: medium 38, 40: one big sucker, 63.
When learning the DeLeon, start off with sensitivity fairly low; if in parks etc, 2 to 3 could be ample: too high and you will go over coins & other good targets if they are on top or near the top of the ground; it is a powerful machine.

This Ring bounced between 37 and 45 graph showed foil and nickel. 10K
at 3" in depth, There was a lot of can slaw in the area I almost passed it up.
I also check iffy targets in all metal and see where they fall, I run my sens
depending on the area I'm hunting, if low trash I run it (high) just so its stable.
In heavy trash I drop the sens down seems to separate targets a lot better.
Good luck with the De' Leon hope you make some good finds.
