With September's cooler temperatures hopefully my detecting will be heating up !! Met up with Park Pirate at my "1000" oldies park and was lucky enough to add three more to my running total there. First find was a nice 1935 buffalo nickel. A while later, I dug the 1920 mercury dime that was hiding near some iron. It was one of those targets you couldn't use pinpoint mode because it was surrounded by trash. Had to swing the coil over the signal to pinpoint listening to the old silver warble! Added a couple wheat cents before ending the hunt with a trashed, no date buffalo nickel. Park Pirate dug a twin 1920 mercury dime on the opposite side of basketball court where I dug mine. Was nice to finally see some silver come out of the ground. Park Pirate has been beating me like a rented mule. I think he has dug 10 silvers to my 1 over the last few weeks !!! Used a new digger this morning as you can see by the nice scratch across the face of the no date Buff.
