Threw my back out while swinging the coil last weekend, so I haven't been able to get out the past several days. Felt better on Saturday, so I hit a local park for about an hour and was happy to find a 1906 V-Nic. Last night - I took a ride to an Ann Arbor park that I've hunted a lot and was not expecting much - just wanted to see if I could do it for more than an hour. Got a few wheats, a 1940 Canadian and was on my way out as it was getting dark - got a nice quarter signal at 6" and was very happy to see the 1894-O Barber quarter in the hole (my first of the year). Happy, happy, happy.

Great hunt!

 very good

Sweet barber quarter Doc , can't even remember the last time I dug one must be about 20 years . I find barber dimes all the time but the quarter eludes me .Has to be one at the fairgrounds somewhere . Hope your back gets better , WTG on that quarter . sube

Nice finds. Way to go. How'd you clean the V nickel? All mine come out pretty red or brown and I can't get rid of the staining

I used a technique that I saw on Sscindercoop's YouTube video - soak it in lemon juice and use steel wool to rub off the brown gook (repeat several times). HH
