from a friend :) Went down to my mom's house and my mom's next door neighbor gave me this cannon ball. I was elated to say the least. It was really nice of her and she also told me what field it came from. I have to ask the new owner, but don't think it will be a problem. I have never heard mention of the field being used for firing practice, so perhaps no one else has either :) Might be a good spot. Anyway got to use the X5, see all my family and spend time with my wife. Also bought a pair of Ratphones today and I guess I can say life is pretty darn good at present. Have a good one and spring is close!

Yeah I do like it Brian. It seems to be deeper on brass than coins,(found a 45/70 casing at 15", yeah CRAZY deep) but I haven't found a coin yet so will have to see) The headphones sure seemed to give an extra few inches in the air test.

I really like it so far. It is definitely different than the DFX, but I wanted change and like it so far. I tried it inside with headphones and it impressed me even more. I played around with some coins and seemed the depth was better on buttons and relics than coins, but have heard from buddies that it will locate a dime at 11" I'll keep you posted!

and fired into various hillsides. Most have been hit fairly well from people all over the country. This may be a secret patch. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope the new owner of the field is decent. I hit a small patch of the field when the corn was up and old owner was alive and found a flat button, so should be more.
