Got a camera- Minnesota Road trip finds...

Chris(SoCenWI)

Actually bought a new camera from Best Buy last week, then found it for 75 bucks cheaper on Amazon. I hadn't opened the box so will return it and have a new toy to play with by the end of the week. In the meantime girlfriend got new disks for her mavica so now I can post.

The first trip I made to MN this year I met up with James and Rick from ND. Didn't make it to ND this last time. First trip found three key date coins, none this time around.

I recently purchased a F-75 and spent some time with it. Most of these coins were found with my Explorer XS, a few with the F-75.

First the Silver

Nickels, all the buffalos have strong dates.

Indian heads and the one semi-key wheat 1910-S

I detected several resorts that dated from the 1940s, a couple older. Surprisingly few finds. Otherwise most of the finds came from churches, homes, farms. I think the ND boys have cleaned out most of the public parks and ballfields. Did some research on some new areas but probably need to hit them early spring.

You got quite a bit of Silver and Indian Heads! The Indians look great and so do the Nickels. I would say you did well for the time you were up here for. Hope that you got out back home and started finding some Seated. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

the F75...you should be able to pretty well clean out what areas you hit. I do thje same thing with my SE and cz70pro. There always seems to be something still there.

There has to be some sites that you did very well at and got Seated Chris. Maybe all it takes is going back to them and going Slow with a smaller Coil. You never know! Good Luck and HH.

Chris,
Great finds! What is your game plan? You say several resorts. How do you go about finding these sites and asking permission and getting out there and all that?....Do you have a staff?
Oh! How can I go two three years without finding one IH? Have never found one.. PLENTY pennies 1911,1928 etc.12" deep etc.and you find the M LOAD in a casual afternoon. I need to go to your school. Are you taking any new students?? Don't get me wrong I still love this crazy thing called metal detecting but sometimes it just seems so unfair.
