Got a 5 inch edge coil and have a problem

Got the fisher 5 inch factory coil for the edge and still waiting on my edge to get here Ive got coming.My question is this is the fisher factory coil and uf i remember right there was problems with some of them being wired for coinstrikes with the edge sticker on it.I might have one i notice pin number 3 on the connector is soldered to ground lug. i belive on the edge these are open and soldered to ground on the coinstrike like this one am i right? seems a buddyof mine got one like this and we clipped the ground to make it work any input appreciated. no big deal ill just clip it if need be since this is the only difference in a coinstrike and edge coil is the ground jumper.Heres a photo of what im talking about thanks in advance for any help.

Just wondering what difference it makes to Coinstrikes if you use the Edge coils without the ground tag? I've got a Coinstrike with an 8" edge coil and it seems to work ok? I was going to buy a Fisher 5" Edge coil secondhand but I don't know now.
