Got 8 cents and a button today...

Phil

went back to the bean field that has the school site in it. Got to hunt about an hour with my MXT and 6X10dd coil. I found a very nasty V-nickel, 3 IH pennies and a small button that has a little gold gilt or plate on it.

After I left there, I drove around and found 2 other home sites less than a mile away that date to before 1865. These are also in a bean field and I will be checking them out tomorrow.

MAN---O---MAN Phil you did good.:clapping: What part of the country do you live in? You been finding some nice Indian head cents.

Hey, I like that type of 8 cents! Nasty or not, it's still an old V-Nickel. Those are cool to find. The three Indian cents are nice keepers too. You're making my want to get out and hunt. It's been quite some time since our last outing. I'm hoping the weather will hold out for Saturday and maybe Larry and I can both go detecting. Thanks for sharing and great hunting Phil. We'll be waiting to see what all you pull out of the ground there. HH to all, Nancy

In Randolph Co to be more exact. If you are close enough, you could help me detect the 2 pre-1865 home sites in a different field tomorrow. I'd enjoy the company.

I would love to Phil, but that would be quite a little drive for me. I live in Northeast Oklahoma. But you keep finding those Indians because we love seeing them!
