Packed my family in our mini van this morning and drove a couple hours to a nice lake. I was betting that this past long weekend, which was so very hot, had brought large crowns to this area, and maybe a few goodies were left behind for a water hunt. It was just too hot to work the dry, hard dirt.

Well, after about 4 hours in the water, the kids were hinting that we should eat, so I called it a day. I got this cool cross, with lots of inscriptions on it. I believe it is Ukrainian, as there were a lot of Ukrainian homesteaders in this area long ago. I also found a large 50 year anniversary token, which nearly blew my ears off. The silver gods also presented me with a 1965 silver quarter.

I was very surprised to find so many rings. My first several hunts were skunks in the ring department. Then, all of a sudden, they are popping up every where.

Hope to get out again tomorrow.....That's what holidays are all about. :)

Boy you're making a killing on those rings. You'll catch Ian pretty soon then you guys can be partners in your own jewelry store. :)
