My buddy & I met at McDonalds for breakfast and after some discussion decided on a place which has given up some good finds in the past. We had about 3inches of snow, which was very light, and the coils had no problem slicing through it.

Here's my take of the day. My oldest coin was a 1952 penny. I got two bracelets. One had the color of gold, and after a good cleaning at home, it turned out to be a nitro. My buddy & I both found the same bullet, at opposite ends of the area. I surprised to get as many coins as I did, but I did manage to find a decent coin spill on a side trail, which accounted for about half my coin finds,

Below are my buddy's finds. He managed a sweet 1912 large cent in great condition.

We do not have snow here but the temperatures are forecast to remain below freezing well into next week. So ground is getting hard to dig in.

I still have a few football fields where that will not matter since the season just ended.

Question on your 9X12 coil John, does it ground balance with the same numbers as the 8 1/2X11 does? Mine seems to be 3 or 4 points higher.
It works well and is my main coil right now but was just wondering if you see the same thing.

You folks are hard core. My days of wading through snow are long gone! Some good finds though....

Think I'll take a little nap:goodnight: before Charles and I do the town:thumbup:
