Got 2 mercs and a sterling ring

Found a spot blown out right down to the hardpack. FULL of iron laying all over the bottom, big spikes, scraps, crown caps all rotten, went real slow with the AtPro 40disc, iron off, Pro zero and dropped sens down to just a few clicks. had no trouble hitting good signals even fairly deep.

That brass looking ring is a Good Luck charm from a shoe store...the shiny ring is junk, the dark one is sterling as are the 2 blurry mercs 44 and 45 with it...I got nickels in this mess, plenty of beavertails and the usual hoohaw...I was confident that if there was a gold ring in here and I got over it, I would have found it..chains would be tough to find in here from all the various chain sounding scatter signals....TIDS were really no good with all the mess in here, a fellow had to go by tone or size of target, one merc came up with a penny in the scoop. I think I may go back in there with a big magnet and just harvest iron for a little then sweep this place again. Even running iron audio off, it was a signal heavy environment and I got worn out.

Mud it sounds like you had a great time today. Way to go on getting 3 silvers.

I have a cold and all I can do right now is read about what others are finding. That's better than nothing.:)

Nice hunting Mud. I was looking at all the sinkers, must be some good fishing there too. Artie

Nice one man........looks like you had a good day!.

WTG on the rings and the mercury dimes. The At/Pro shines in areas with lots of trash. When I found my only 18K gold ring earlier this year there were 6 or 7 trash targets under my coil, but the At/Pro picked out the gold ring with that little pip sound. 8 inches down in the river, surrounded by other trash targets and it picked it out. Excellent day of detecting.

Mighty fine hunt, my photos SUCK, better than nothing, good fishing here too, had a good day, and the Pro will find treasure in the trash!

Congrats Mud on the silver if there's treasure the AT'S will definetly sniff it out! What coil was you using?

Sweet hunt. Thing I do like about the Pro is that it will give a number readout of a target below a bad one. Take care and swing away me bouy.

Nice hunt in difficult conditions, Mud! Three more silvers for your treasure chest! :clapping:

Well lets see, Togamac..that was Nov 5th, and it was relatively warm...right now we have had gale force winds for a week and its been snowing all day...after these big winds drop off, there will be some major cuts blown out all up and down the Big Lake, and a guy will just HAVE to man up and get in them...its gonna be run and gun all up and down the beach, hopping from one spot to the next as fast as a fellow can go, burns a lot of energy and creates a lot of heat in the process..water temp was 61 yesterday, which is quite high and due to the heavy onshore winds...still just wearing the leaky old waders, but if the perfect flat day shows up, and the water temps stay in the high 50's just once more, a guy could tough it out and get in for a while in shorts or underarmour long johns.

Its can be productive just running the beach after a big blow, the coins are sitting on little columns of sand, tough work though no matter how you call it...and the gold is in the water it seems, you found any at your spot?
