Hello all!

Well she is gorgeous to me :) I went back to a spot I've hunt a few times... that has yielded Indians, Buffalo's, a Barber Dime and a Button from the War of 1812...

I had the sensitivity cranked to 25 on my X-Terra 70 and I was going slow examining every sound... I was getting a solid signal in all directions at 10"...

So I dug... and here is the gorgeous green lady....

Thanks for looking...

Beale, I t was ringing 40-44 beforeI popped the plug... but over the last week everything seems to be ringing higher for me... The quarters I've pulled out are ringing @ 44, pennies like dimes... etc...

Not sure whats in the air... or my GB is off... SENS to high... shrug... I did not read to much into it... I dig any positive signal... and like to be suprised :)

But I am getting better goodies with higher sensitivity and going slower...

This is my 1st US Large Cent :)

Way to go Paul, that is definately one of the coins on my list of goals. Great find.

Nice find Paul. That coin is on my "things to do" list for 2009. I would like to think that, after 37 years of swinging the coil, there is one out there (somewhere) waiting for me to find it! This part of the Country only dates back to around 1855. Although I can't imagine pioneers bringing much change with them (since there were no banks or stores), I am hopeful that one of these old farmsites I've been hunting has one in hiding. All I have to do is find it! Congrats on a nice coin. HH Randy

That is one nice lady.

Not much chance of getting a spade 10" deep here. there is 8" of fresh snow on the foot already on the ground.
