Goodrich Massacre

There were rarely Indian Massacres in New England..This is located in Georgetown Ma. From What I gathered, the Indians had a grudge with a white man. I believe it had something to do with a Sqaw. Little hanky panky. The Indians were searching for the man, but could not find him, got discouraged and angry, took it out on the Goodrich Family. The sign states two children, but I read elsewhere, one child, a young girl was kidnapped and ransomed a day or so later.
