A few days ago I hunted an old house site and picked up a nice Merc and war nickel......some clad and pennies to........

I added my nieces pooch for a little something different:biggrin:

Your niece has a nice bird dog, and you gotcha some silver! Nice!

BTW How do those silver war nickels read on the digital screen? Never found one, don't imagine they hit like silver dime or quarter, but doubt they hit like a nickel, either...

I can generally pick out the nickels by the sound they make in pinpoint mode ... A pull tab will have a quick up take and drop off in volume whereas a nickel or gold will have a longer smoother rise and drop in volume in the pin point mode...

Silver strike ! way to go !

Congrats on the silver!
I love finding those old marbles.
