Went to the beach for a few hours with the wife and had a good hunt there. I didn't find anything of value but I found bottle caps pull tabs and cans. This made me very happy cuz I felt like I was actually doing something right with the detector. Thank you TVR for the help u gave me the other day it helped a lot!

Aw shucks! (and thanks)

If you are finding bottle caps and pull tabs you are right in the range for nice jewelry. You may dig hundreds of junk targets before you hit that good piece of jewelry, but they are out there to be found; and you will never forget that first gold ring. The more you hunt and the more you observe about the places you hunt, the better you will get at finding the good targets.
Enjoy your hunting!

TVR hit that nail on the head. I found one gold ring today. I have 28 old beavertail pulltabs. 2 shotgun shell bottoms, 3 sinkers a key and two old brass swimsuit buckles and a stainless steel washer. Never give up the midtones no matter how many pull tabs you find. You might just pass up a 300.00 ring.
