Good to be home

Well the hunting in Texas wasn't great but it was warm and there was no snow. The soil is sandy and the Bermuda grass is crap. The school yards are padlocked and the few parks are trashy and target poor. Will I go back next winter you bet. Here is my head start for the year, mostly clad, a couple sterling charms, one gold earring, and one silver ring with chips.

I got out today the first time since being home for 3 hours. I hit the high school with my 6" Excelerator coil. The ground was damp and the coil was working great. Besides the clad, I got 2 silver bracelets and a tiny gold ear ring and four wheat pennies. For all the guys who say a 22 is never a nickel, well. I got a 22 hit but it sounded good. I dug the ear ring a 4.5 inches, then I swept the hole again and got a solid 20 and dug a nickel. The ear ring reads 6 away from the the nickel, a good case of masking.

I also had the MXT do the adding machine trick, I got a half dollar hit and it was 2 quarters stacked in the hole

Hey Rob its good to see you back. You did pretty good down in TX while we were all snow bound and unable to hunt. I knew you were going to love the 6" DD Excelerator. Good luck with your finds this summer. HH Dennis in Idaho

You did real good in Texas,.......:clapping:...... Man I will be glade when I can retire and just travel and detect { 4 more years } ..........

Welcome home again and nice to see your finds. Not too bad at all. See you in a couple weeks! HH to all, Nancy

Looking forward Nancy to seeing you guys.

Rick as I said the last two pictures are for today's 3 hour hunt. The first picture is of my finds over 3 months in Texas. The sites were limited in Texas so I only hunted about 6 hours a week.

Bob and Dennis, glad to see you guys are still around and doing a great job. Dennis I have to see what kind of deal I can work with JW for one of those 10x12 SEF coils. I like what Larry has had to said about it.
Rob

Don't know what part of Texas you were in but I live in texas and hunt at least 3 days aweek in a 100 mile area I have a few places i hunt every week but new places I hunt every week and see new ones to put on my list every day

I was down in the Valley in the town of Harlingen. As an outsider it is hard to get on private sites. I'm also not going exploring for hundreds of miles. There aren't many public sites in the area with all the school yards under lock and key. I was only hunting sports fields and parks I could get into. Rob
