Good to Be Detecting Again

I havent been detecting much in the last year or 2 but have started going out a lot more lately.

I have to say I STILL like the Coinstrike. Took me a little while to get back into the groove though. Ive been out to a CW site 3 or 4 times and have found I guess around 30 bullets and the last time out finally got a few eagle buttons. Ive started digging what I would call iffy signals and its been paying off. The eagle buttons gave me a solid 28 signal after moving a bit of dirt and some musket caps out of the way. One button was a good 12-15 inches deep. Havent found anything really good yet but its good to be out and digging again with the Coinstike.

Great to see you back! I hear there's not a tree left in that camp we hit up there. Is it an office park or subdivision right about now? I hope you were there when the trees started to fall! Welcome back!

Hi Tony its nice to be back! Im getting "the fever" again.

I wish I could say I was there but I wasnt. I just got so busy I had no time for detecting. I dont know if they have built anything yet but the last time I went by it was really bad, your right, not a tree standing! I hear someone pulled 5 rifles out of there. As you know, there was still plenty in there. Im sure the guys who were there right after they pulled the tress out cleaned up.

Let me know when your coming to Virginia again. We can do some digging. Im living in Fredericksburg now right down the road from that site we hunted. I see you were just here. Its really been nice, I was in the woods yesterday in a T shirt!

I am supposed to spend some time up in the Ashland/Fredericksburg area in the next few weeks. I may just have to make that a Friday trip with a layover for the weekend! Maybe we can work something out then. I'll be hooking up with Bill up there again in late March. Maybe we can put something together then too.
