My first Tesoro was the DeLeon. I purchased it not too long after they came out with that model.
I dug more coins and relics that year that any of my other years doing this hobby (I started detecting in 1968 with a Whites CoinMaster IV).
I was one of the first to dig Western Michigan's lost goodies! (Grand Haven/Tri-cities/Grand Rapids eras). I recall going out time after time early in the morning and digging 30 to 100 coins by noon. My favorites where always the Barber dimes and Mercs but IH's were also very common. Those were the days!
I got the idea I needed a "deeper" machine and sold my DeLeon. I've always regretted that move!
I keep watching for a bargin on a nice used DeLeon or Tejon but this time of year they're not easy to find.
Guess I better save my pennies and aim for next year. Lord willing I'll be able to do this next year. I've reached the age where the body just aim't what it used ta be--know what I mean?
Thanks for reading this and happy hunting!
