Hope so...it would be nice if they were doing good and coming out with a real new model or two would be a bonus.
However...Bernie Maddof, Enron and every other company that spectacularly crash and burned both big and small all said exactly the same right up to the day they closed their doors or were forced to.
If you are in a retail or service business and still trying to capture new customers and move products no matter how bad things actually are it would be suicide to put anything else than a positive spin on, well, everything.
Time will tell.
Below is an e mail sent to a concerned loyal customer, their company so they can do it any way they want but to me, a person that used to manage and own retail business this seems to be more of a stick your head in the sand sort of stance.
Damage control is something they are used to dealing with or apperer to be concerned about and since it is a private company with no public shareholders it is their right.
In it they state their position...why post any info on any forum when it all gets twisted anyway?
Don't know how they can believe actual true facts and info can get twisted if disseminated in an honest and timely matter in a modern scenario but hey, whatever.
They still don't see or understand that their utter lack of modern communication skills started the whole mess.
They handled the whole Cazadore thing wrong, from the initial naming contest going forward...my opinion.
Other companies usually don't mention anything about new products until they are close to releasing something.
Even if Tesoro just wanted opinions for customer's favorite features on a new model they HAD NOT DEVELOPED YET, if true the naming contest years before a working model was available was a huge misstep.
People have been whining about no new innovations coming out of this company for a long time but that is normal and the bulk of their loyal customers are very happy with their current lineup and always will be, think they do what they do very well and don't care about new models as much as the early adopter types.
I just want them to be around a long time in case I need service, keep their employees working and train someone to be close to the level of Rusty's skills because he is going to retire sometime.
If they do come out with some new products I hope they are innovative and successful but I won't wait or hold my breath...if it happens it happens.
I have and use two of their fine products and feel grateful I do every time I step outside with either.
I just wish they were better at this communicating thing but you can't have everything in this world.
