plus i have an aversion to eating carnivores unless i was desperate and starving.
They can do what they want in their own country but i don't have to like it, and if they bring it here then lie about it they should be horsewhipped just before being put on a boat back to where they came from!

Raccoon and opossum have been part of some country folks diets as have bear and a few other wild critters.

I've tasted 'coon (and didn't like it at all), but I can't get past the resemblance of the 'possum to a rat or the bear walking on its hind legs.

I agree with Wayne that I would have to be starved pretty bad to live on these creatures!

no problem with what they do in their country, what the heck they have a billion more people to feed but if given the choice I would not eat it.

Different people have different culture. Heck, there is crap the hillbillys eat that I would not Possum Innerds and chitlens and such. I saw a feller eat a night crawler once and he tried to convince me they were great. Dang thing was alive! I had a buddy from Oklahoma that brought in a big platter of squirrel heads to eat at lunch. Squirrel heads! He said ijt was a common thing to do down there,

In Peru they keep Ginnypigs in cages in their kitchens to deep fry. I have seen some from one of the slantie eyed countrys set at a table with a live monkey clamped in a hole in the middle and they were eating its brains when it was alive! Now that has to suck.

During the Nixon years when he opened up talks with China and we had a ping pong team visiting they showed a bunch of kids in a resturant. In the table was a carp. A big carp. It was alive and they were cutting it up and serving it is small strips. Its eyes were moving all over the place but it was not moving.

What they had done it seems is take a sharp knife and cut its backbone, just above the gills, to paralize it and then they could eat it alive without it flopping all over the place. The american ping pong players were not taking it well.

Call me racist if you will, but I find the Chinese mindset on almost everything they do to be completely untenable. Eating dogs, melamine in milk, lead in paints... the list goes on, and on.

These days, and for the last few years, if I see a product of/made in China on food especially, back on the shelf it goes until I can find a product of Canada or USA.

One live fat dog, don't feed or water it for a couple of days. Then feed dog uncooked rice with Brown sugar, garlic, other seasons. After it has eaten all the rice which is a lot of rice, give the dog a lot of water to drink. The rice expands in the dogs belly in which kills the dog when his inters burst from the expanding rice. The place dog on open fire to burn hair off and cook dog over open flame. When dog is cooked Thur, cut the dogs belly open and you have the sides prepared too. Now you guy's can see when we had 2000 of them dumped in our lamp, with stuff like this going on why there was a culture battle going on.

I remember that time. Most of the shrimpers that had been here for years were pissed!!! The government were giving the immigrants money to buy shrimp boats...most were located around Palacios, Seadrift and Rockport. They bought every new and used shrimp boat available....then they started buying YACHTS...seriously...nice yachts....and converting them to shrimp boats. Now the shrimpers were more pissed! The KKK showed up and things turned pretty ugly for awhile. I remember back then...we would go out with a buddies dad and help him shrimp sometimes....we would listen to the other boats talking back to one another....after the Vietnamese showed up...forget it....they took that over as well. It sounded insane when you just turned it on. Sad time.

I blame the government for those deaths. Put them in a area, free boat, show them no rules and laws, get some local Bubba's getting the traps moved and ran. Oyster beds raided you got a war. Feds way in a starting a local war.
