Good news/bad news which should I tell first

Pete in MI

Good news: We had a young couple with a child and one on the way come look at the house tonight - they seemed interested and have a pre-approved mortgage.

Bad news: Just before the couple got there Sherry called me at work to tell me we have a gas leak in our basement. Consumers Power came to check it out - yep not one but two leaks. The power guy was going to shut off our gas at the outside meter. Sherry explained we have about 14 parrots, 2 dogs, a cat and 3 people that live here and we all have no where else to go. The guy tagged the water heater (one of the leaks) and I guess there is another leak in the gas line going to the heater.

They are still leaking but we are here and we have heat (and this is probably the coldest night we have had so far this winter). We are trusting God to figure out how to get a professional in to do repairs since we have very limited finances. We are also trusting God to keep us all safe - unless of course our mansion in heaven is waiting on us and it is our time to go. Good thing the basement is an old Michigan basement and isn't well sealed so some of the gases can escape.

Keep us in your prayers for God's financial help in getting this fixed (we have no hot water now til it is fixed) and were are under His protective wings.

main furnace keeps on working without any problems as I too am very low on finances....too many bills this time of year! I also hope the young couple do buy it after you get the gas leaks repaired so there will be no trouble with a contract or sale of the house! God meets our needs, so lean on Him and trust that He is working it all out for you even as I'm posting!

God Bless!
Betty
