My daughter was making a snowman and cleared me a path about 30" wide and 12' long. HEH thanks to her and frostys butt it gave me just enough room to mess with the ace250. After a couple pennys and a quarter i popped this out, a Barnes Good Luck lock (pat date June 24 1879)
Kinda weird looking in a hole and seeing GOOD LUCK <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Its about 3" long and wide and about 1/2 inch thick, im thinkin its made out of brass?
I was cleaning it with a soft brush and the lock opend up. Its hinged from the right hand side, wish the tumblers were still inside.
Hey does the pat date have anything to do with when it was manufactured?
heres the back side>

Cool Find, looks like it is made to resemble a horse shoe. First one I have seen. <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">
