Went back Saturday and Sunday to where the fellows(MartyMoose, James31, Daniel A, and PocoBill) and I have been hunting alot. MartyMoose was there both days as well and we both got a few good finds.
The silver and older coins hasn't dried up yet but it's getting harder and harder to find them. Both the silvers I found were very IFFY signals and the second one, well...I'll swear now that it was the MOST IFFY signal I've ever dug. It was barely registering even at only 5" deep, I was getting a very soft flup flup and sometimes a very TINY chirp. Sorta like the deep coppers and bronze pennies I get sometimes but even softer than those. And no VDI number at all. I dug it figuring it was a penny on edge, but it was a silver dime. Lucky me that I dug it.
Got a few other targets along with some older pennies and modern clad. The CTX was again hot on modern dimes, either that or I'm getting better at recognizing them. Anyway enough blabbing, on to the finds!
The loot!
Strange thing, maybe a piece of OLD costume jewelry?
Broken Maple Leaf stick pin.
Very old lead bag seal. MartyMoose said he's gotten them from there before.
Very thin Chinese cash coin?
1918S Wheat Cent. 7" deep.
1920D Wheat Cent. 8" deep.
1954S Wheat Cent. 6" deep.
1957D Wheat Cent. 5" deep.
1939 George VI Penny. 8" deep.
.925 Bracelet hasp. Was right next to another 3" deep plug someone dug. Did one of you fellows get the bracelet?
Silver toe ring, unmarked. Looks handmade. Was at 5" deep.
1943 Canadian George VI Silver Dime. Rang in weird scratchy signal at around 12-37. Was a nail in the hole as well.
1943 Canadian George VI Silver Dime. This is the one that barely registered on the machine. Worst and most iffy signal I've ever dug. Didn't even register a VDI number.
That's all folks! GL & HH!
