Good idea to use Ace 250 for beach hunting?:detecting:

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with using an Ace 250 on a beach. Does it have trouble finding targets in the sand?? I live in TN and have never been able to detect on a beach, but this summer I'm heading up to MA to visit some family and figure I should give beach hunting a shot. I'll be using the standard coil.

in the dry sand it"s great put the sensitivity up high run in all metal & dig everything except iron. in the wet sand it"s not so good it lots of false signals you have to run the sensitivity quite low 2-3 bars & you may have to have it in coins mode to get it settle down.
hope this helps

I used it all the time before buying a water machine. It has the ability to pay for itself FAST!!

Have fun and experiment with it. I found it to be remarkably stable in wet or dry sand, but if you run into falsing, just turn the sensitivity down a notch or three.
