Good hunt today!…….

It's been a hot dry summer so the ground has been no good for digging on land. This is why I have been water hunting. Well we got 10" of rain total in two storms in 3 days time. Went to try a new old park with 3 friends. Hunted 4 hours in some humid conditions but the ground was nice and moist. My totals are $3.21 in clad, 3 wheats 44, 19, 17, two older nickels 53, 50, two arcade tokens, several doo dads, but the find of the day is an 1877 Seated dime in sweet shape other than some staining. A great day me thinks!

Those are some nice finds. I found a 1877 cc quarter once. My only seated. If yours were cc I would try and buy it to go with my quarter. That is exactly 100 years older than me.

Wow! Awesome hunt Mike. Glad you could get out. Here in my neck of the woods city sirens just began sounding. Gosh those are loud! We've had heavy rains now for several hours. I'll head for cover now.

So much better and easier to find coins and dig them after rain and the ground is moister for getting better and deeper signals, too! Congrats on all the nice finds and that Dime is really a great find! Ya did good, but then again you do most of the time because you are experienced and know the familiarity of your detector!  Ma
