We had two snows last week (total 13 inches) and I still have 3-4 inches of snow in my yard, but today I drove south about 20 minutes to an area where I thought the snow should be melted. I went to my favorite park and found there were only scattered patches of snow and the ground was not frozen. The temp was 37 F, and there was a 15 mph wind, but I found a nice south-facing slope where I have found good stuff before. Ground was nice and moist, about my fifth target was the nice 1912D Barber (F or VF) about 6-8 inches deep. Not much else but a few cents, and I only lasted 1.5 hours before heading back for lunch. Great to get out after the snowy weather.
