Good Florida Beach

New member
I will be in the Vero Beach area for two weeks with my wife and brother from California. We will be looking for 1715 Plate Fleet stuff, but I know that the signals will be few and far between. I would appreciate it if anyone out there could point me to a beach that is fairly close where we could search for modern stuff when we get tired of not finding anything. Thanks..:twodetecting:

Yup.. I have read just about every book written about the area and the fleet and they all stressd that point. My wife has already been there a couple of days and hasn't had a beep...

Which wreck site/beach is she currently scanning??? Is she searching at the lowest possible tide in the wet sand as close to the water as possible? I've never been there but plan on going at the end of this month for 3 days. And plan on using the before mentioned technique for hunting. I've heard that they have replenished most of the beaches with new sand except for the area up around chucks steakhouse site.

Oh yea and if you have 2 weeks to kill you might want to drive down to Miami beach. Never been there either but they say big money people hang out there and lose big money items there.

She has gone to Corrigan's, Sea Grape, and Turtle Beach. She ahs seached both high and low tide. I don't know how much time she has put in, but she is finding nothing but a few modern clads.
