I found out my cousin had lost her late mothers dimond ring somewhere on her farm two weeks ago. I headed up on sat morning and gave my uncle a hand to fix fences and stuff ,sunday morning Tracy came home from her town job and told me the ring was lost near the house ,or the chook yard , or the machenery shed ! Narrowed down to 1000sq mts or so. While setting the x-70 up i asked her what she did on the day she lost it and she said her frend came over and when she left she gave her a big hug just near where her car was parked .
Two dozen steps later i had the ring 50mm from the back wheel of her one ton ute she must have parked twice a day for a week on the grass area and not hit it.
If anyone can explan the emotions of a woman , WOW shock relief crying broken ribs (mine) what a hug !
I am going back next weekend to enjoy a box of xxxx gold and a B B Q .
Best reward ever was the finding and return and just the look on her face.
Love this hobby.

Congratulations . Nothing like finding a ring and returning it . There smile is priceless.

and people are just amazed that you can find something that they may have searched and searched for. Congratulations! Enjoy the BBQ!

Excellent post. Over the past 40 years I've had the honor of finding quite a few things that folks had lost or family members had buried. And I agree with you, there is NOTHING better than seeing that smile on their face (or tear in their eye) when you hand them their lost treasure. Believe me when I tell you that Karma is right on your heels! Good things happen to those who help others. HH Randy
