Good Deal or No Deal Prizm 6T

Well I don't post to often but have been along time.I had a friend offer me a Prizm 6T for $300 and I know it hasn't more than 2hrs on it.I said yes because it seemed like a pretty good deal.( I have 5 grandchildren from 8 yrs old on down) I run mostly excals in the water but thought this might be a good machine for the sand but I'm reading some post's that don't give it much for depth (4-5 inch's) So My question is ....... is this just a kiddy detector or should I keep my eye out for a bigfoot for it.And does the Prizm and the DFX use the same loop? Thanks in advance Grumpy :detecting:

Good used Prizm detectors should sell for $400 to $450, new ones go for $550 to $600. The 6T is very good on depth and the main draw back is they use only Prizm coils. I think the Prizm Bigfoot, like all Bigfoot's are really hard to find. For $300, you would have a real nice detector IMHO.

I'd take it in a hearbeat if I were looking for more detectors. Add the 4X6 Prizm shooter coil to it for trashy sites and you'd be pretty well set.

It sounds cheap enough to me. I just bought a new one today along with the prizm shooter coil. My dealer says they are doing very well in our dirt in NW Arkansas and he has been selling several. Good Luck! CG

what everybody else told you about getting the 4x6 dd shooter coil for the prism is 100% correct!!! this coil works great on this detector, and depth is very respectable too.... I have mine set-up this way..

I won the Prism dertector in a raffle at last years Daytona Beach shootout. Its like new, and he is definitely getting a deal. Wish I had a few more to "give away" too.
I alsp won $2,000.00 cash in the big 50 drawing. I used a Garrett 250 in the hunts. Love that little guy!!

By all means, buy it, and if there is a problem with it
Whites will usually fix it even if you were not the original owner,
usually only chargeing the labor, if that.
