Good days and not so good days

Me and my pal went out yesterday, we had four fields to go at, we spent five hours wandering all over the place, got home with nothing to show for our efforts, apart from post WW11 scrap and a rivit off a pair of jeans. Some days you,re lucky some days you,re not. Got in touch with the landowner last night to give him an update and he was almost as disappointed as me and my pal, so he said come and see me next saturday and I,ll show you to some other fields on the other side of the village.... yahoo, roll on next week. Any day on THIS side of the grass looking down, sure beats one on the other side looking up! Oh well, its a big planet, and these coils are so small in comparison, at least you got some excersize and scouted around a little. And Thanks for posting, it is a good post, whether you found something or not, you cant find anything sitting around in the house!

After a poor day fishing someone once told me "that's why they call it fishing, instead of catching" I guess that's why we refer to it as metal detecting, instead of coin/relic finding

Dirt fishing can be as frustrating as regular fishing. Sometimes you just lose your bait.
