decided to dust the ace 250 off today its been neglected lately as i"v been using my other detector looking for old coins.
i hit the local tot lots for 3 hours looking for $$$ + rings and doing some scouting around for old sites to hunt at a later date. had a slow start but finished with a good tot lot that was full of coins $23.65 for 1 hour thats more than i get payed at work !!! my pockets were so full every time i bent down to pick up a coin my pants would start falling down :laugh:.
all up i did well on the $$$ count i got $44.85 no rings and 3 new spot to hit for old coins another day. it was good to get out with the ace it was so simple to use + nice and lite.
thank all

Sounds like a great haul for an hour.
I suppose with all that coinage in your pants you wouldn't be able to do the dance.
(Although it woulda' been funny to watch.)
:clapping::clapping::clapping::cheers:

You'll have to wear a belt next time ,then you'll be able to carry twice as much.:rofl:

thanks guys. doing the happy dance ha i could barely stand up after bending down to pick the coins up :stretcher: it was lucky for the old couple at the picnic table next to the park i wasn't going commando :shocked:.
ya gotta love those :ausflag: $1-$2 coins they add up real fast if i ever meet the guy who brought them in to circulation i"d give him a pat on the back.

G'day lazyaussie.
I consider the Ace to be the best detector that I've ever seen for bark chipping Playing around with the sensitivity button as you get close to metal, is great. If you do a fair bit of this sort of hunting, then get the sniper coil. You can hunt right next to and directly under metal, if you do so with the pinpoint button held in while you hunt. It will blow you away! Experiment and you will quickly discover just how efficient it is.
I love 'em gold coins! Just Awesome!

hi Mick yeah the ace is the best detector i"v used in the tot lots and not bad on the grass ether i think i"m up to $1800.00 so far. i" got a sniper coil but i don't use it much it only gets put it on when i hit a trashy spot.
do you get many old coins when your detecting ??? i love finding old silver.

G'day lazyaussie.
No, I haven't found many pre-decimals. I mostly only hunt in town and on lawn. I'll have to start going after some of the deeper signals, I just don't like cutting plugs as the rainfall here is quite low and that effects the recovery of disturbed ground. There are a couple of spots that I think may be a hot spot for old coins that I haven't tried yet, but will try one this week. I wouldn't mind being on some of the the parks that you are at. You have certainly cleaned up fairly good there on old coins.
You are doing quite well on the goldies. I'm up to $1150 with the Ace. If I lived in a city, it would be a lot higher. Pulled up $250 in a week last Christmas, when we stayed in Sydney. You're in Perth aren't you?
