Well, it's official...winter is over (that's what I'm telling myself anyway lol!). I called Garrett to see when my fixed AT Pro will be coming back, and they said they sent it and it was going to be delivered today. Then the lady said "I remember you...you wanted a shirt instead of the twister tool". I said "that's me". She told me that she FORGOT to send a shirt, but sent me a digger instead. She then apologized and said she'd send me a shirt anyway. Very cool!

I got home a bit early from work and saw a patch of exposed grass on the golf course. I decided to get my GTAx550 and have my first hunt of the season. I couldn't dig any deeper than 2 inches, it's going to take a couple weeks to thaw so I can dig deeper. I found a 1982 US penny, and a 1975 Canadian penny, and a Canadian Loonie. I don't care...it's +3 degrees (37F). MAN it was nice to walk around with just a T-shirt!!!

Then as I was sitting down for supper there was a knock at the door. It was my friend Mike who works for a customs brokerage here in my town. I had my Pro sent to his company's American address as to avoid the waiting at Customs. He was there picking up the days deliveries to bring them to Canada, and because my Pro was repaired for free, he was able to grab it and bring it across for me. What a nice guy! I put it together and it works great! I can NOT wait to go try it tomorrow on that same patch of grass I was at today with the 550.

Apatch of exposed grass on the golf course:rofl: Better be careful when U put the ATPro in drive

The legend of the back refers to the Triumvir

I had a couple of minutes after work again today, so I went back to my 15 feet by 20 feet "exposed patch of grass" lol. I FINALLY tried the AT Pro and I'm impressed. I went over this spot last year, and again yesterday with my GTAx550. I have already dug every good signal...so I thought. When I went over it with the Pro today (first time ever out with the Pro), there were MULTIPLE signals that are repeatable and sound like good targets. The numbers on these targets were anywhere from the 50 to 80 range. Sadly, I was unable to dig them because they are all 8 to10 bloody inches deep!!! The ground is way too frozen--like black concrete, but I was basically just happy to get out, swing the machine and see what it sounds like. I'm not knocking my 550, but today with the Pro it seemed like a whole new world of possibilities
It felt really good to finally swing this sweet machine! I'm impressed with what I heard today...I am excited to dig up those signals and see what I've been missing!

i1jab...nice find, looks like a great coin!
