Good day of finds, even though detector broke.....

started off real good, dug a few wheats, one was a 1909 my first ever of that year, got a cool "good for 1 cent" token dated 1909............then my minelab x-70 broke! I was pretty upset. I have exactly 2 weeks till school starts and had planned to hunt everyday till then. I contacted minelab and they said send it in and once they get it, it will take 15 days to fix it!!!! That did NOT make my day.

I finished hunting using my backup detector. I should not even have to use one but I used the ace250 for rest of the day. Man it sure makes me appreciate my minelab.

Ended up finding a whole slew of wheats, 3 injuns 1900, 1903, 1905
a cool heart shaped token "good for quart of milk" and the one cent token. Was hunting alongside some new sidewalks that were replaced 2-3 yrs ago, all the finds were only 2-3 inches deep. Good thing since I was using the ace....lol

Sorry to hear about your ML. I know how you feel. I see the day wasen't a total lose. Very nice finds and that token sure is different.

it was an electronics problem..........They are an exceptional company and I am 100% positive it will be fixed ASAP, they are top notch to deal with

Congrats on the very good hunt! I really like the token and the IH's. My 70 failed me very early on. ML fixed the problem and I had it back nice and quick. It is frustrating though, Beale.

sorry to hear about the mishap, can you tell us what was wrong electronically?
no I just don't know, the screen only showed half numbers and symbols, no matter what button u pushed nothing happened, they will fix it no worries from me

I sent my XT 70 back to Adelaide in another state, it only took 5 days from my doorstep problem fixed, and back to my doorstep. I sent a whites Detector back to be repaired in my state and it took 23 days Note Whites is now under different ownership. Garret Detector sent to Adelaide 16 days Note Garret is also now under different ownership since sending Detector back.
So I wonder why imported Detectors seem to take longer to repair.

Bummer, Looks to be an otherwise ok day though.

Jeff
